2017 Grants Awarded to Nonprofit Organizations

During a Texas Rangers home game at Globe Life Park, Globe Life and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation awarded grants to eight nonprofit organizations in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma to support youth baseball and softball games.

In the past six years, nearly $475,000 has been distributed to more than 58 different organizations impacting more than 50,000 kids and 42 different communities through the Globe Life Texas Rangers Baseball and Softball grant program.            

The 2017 grant recipients included:

  • Artesia Little League Baseball, Inc. in Artesia, NM for replacement of scoreboards and flag poles.
  • City of San Angelo Parks & Recreation in San Angelo, TX for construction of batting cages.
  • Ingram Little League in Ingram, TX for replacement of outfield fences.
  • Newman International Academy in Arlington, TX to repair and update fields and add lights.
  • Progressive Spirit Foundation in Fairview, OK to purchase equipment and construct a storage facility.
  • Royse City Youth Baseball Association, Inc. in Royse City, TX to build batting cages.
  • Sam Houston High School Alumni Association in Arlington, TX to replace batting cages and purchase new equipment.
  • YMCA of Greater San Antoni in San Antonio, TX to purchase baseball, softball, and T-ball equipment.
